4. cost of the application is Rs.50/- and fee for examination is Rs.200/-. Fee has to be paid in to UCR/ACG-17 in any of the Post Office. Fee relaxation will be there for Women/PH/SC/ST Candidates.

2.Partially Blocked Category- stoppage of all commercial Calls/SMS except SMS from one of the opted preferences

Central Government Employees threaten to go on strike


Central government employees and workers today threatened to observe a day long strike on December 12 if their charter of demands such as setting up of the seventh pay commission is not addressed "expeditiously".

The employees, who participated in 'march to Parliament' programme here under the banner of confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers hoped the Prime Minister, to whom a memorandum containing their charter of demands has been submitted, would "consider and settle the issues within a reasonable time frame".

Meeting of the Joint Committee on MACPs Anomalies

As decided in the National Anomaly Committee Meeting held on 17/07/2012, the DOPT held separate meeting with the Leaders of Staff Side at North Block, New Delhi, Room No. 190 on 27/07/2012. Shri.M.Raghavaiah, General Secretary, NFIR has participated in the meeting.

Discussions were held on following issues:-

1. Grant of MACP in the promotional hierarchy :-
The staff side insisted that option be given to individual employees in this regard to facilitate  him/her to opt for availing benefit of financial upgradation.
After discussion it was agreed to examine in depth for finding solution.

MINUTES OFTHE COMMITTEE TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP THE BICYCLE FOR THE POSTMAN HELD ON 25 JULY, 2012.


A Committee constituted by Secretary (P) vide order No. 1-6/2011-MVand comprising of Mr. B.Selva Kumar, PMG Agra as Chairperson and Sh. R.K. Sharma, Director MV, Sh. Aman Sharma, DPS(MSP) Delhi  Circle along with two representatives of recognized Postman Unions , Sh. TN Rahate and Sh. TRAI Directs Telecom Service Providers to Provide Adequate Information to Broadband Consumers


In order to ensure transparency in delivery of broadband services and to protect interests of consumers in the telecom sector, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today issued directions to telecom service providers for delivering broadband services in a transparent manner by providing adequate information to the broadband consumers about various plans and Fair Usage Policy (FUP).

Details of Scheme for Out of Turn Promotion for Sportspersons Announced

The Union Cabinet had last week approved a policy to promote sportspersons for excellence in international sports events.  As per the policy,  upto three out of turn promotions can be given in their service career for winning medals in Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World Championships. The sportsperson winning a medal or more than one medal in a Game/Team Events/Championships in a particular year will be eligible for an out of turn promotion in that year. Further record-breaking medal winning performance in National Games will also be considered for one out of turn promotion during the service career.

            Discharge on Railway tracks, besides leading to environmental issues creates problems for workmen on track also. The solution to this issue is haunting railways for years. The Gwalior based  Defense Research and Development Organization has come out with a solution to this problem. They have developed the green toilet system and technology.  An MoU has been signed by railways with DRDO for technology development.

            The first prototype rake with bio toilets was developed and trial was conducted successfully.

Eight Bihar officers nominated for PM’s award

Patna, July 25, 2012(PTI): Eight Bihar officers, including five IAS officers, have been nominated for the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration for 2012-13.
Official sources said the officers nominated for the award include development commissioner A K Sinha, agriculture secretary N Vijay Lakshmi, director of the Bihar administrative reforms mission and principal secretary to the general administration department (GAD) Dipak Kumar and its additional director B Rajendra.
