CAT 2012 Important Dates Announced

CAT 2012 or Common Admission Test is the main entrance exam for MBA aspirants to get admission in Top B-Schools of India like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta amongst many others. 

CAT 2012 will be coordinated by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode. CAT 2012 will be conducted from October 11, 2012 to November 6, 2012.

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Syllabus

● Scholarships

On the basis of the examination conducted, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for students appearing for Class VIII examinations. 

Awardees of NTS Examination will receive a sum of Rs. 500/- per month as per NTS rules.

● Reservation

150 scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category and 75 scholarships for students belonging to the ST category in respect of the class VIII examination.

Uttar Pradesh Govt raises age limit for Competitive Exams to 40 years

The Uttar Pradesh government has raised the maximum age limit to appear in Public Service Commission competitive examination in the state from 35 to 40 years. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting held through circulation last night. The decision was announced by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the state assembly today while a similar information was read out by Leader of the House in the Legislative Council by Ahmed Hassan.

Directorate has  postponed the Postman / Mail guard Examination and Direct Recruitment Examination for Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) scheduled to be held on 20.05.2012 Indefinitely, since the Recruitment Rules for the posts of Postman/Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff are under revision.
